The 2024 Benalla Historic Vehicle tour, to be held on Friday, 24 May, will once again provide great fun in Benalla and district for car and motorcycle enthusiasts.
Organiser, Benalla Rural City Council’s Visitor Economy Coordinator, Alison Angus said that the full day tour would cover a wide range of locations and activities making it a highly memorable day.
“Once the historic vehicle enthusiasts depart at 8:30am, they will enjoy six different Benalla tourism treats,” Alison said. “They’ll meet farmer of the year, Mark Foletta, visit Kooyonga Winery, do a few laps of Winton Motor Raceway, and that’s just the first half of the day.”
She said lunch will be in Glenrowan where participants can bring their own picnic or buy lunch at one of the eateries there.
The afternoon legs of the Benalla Historic Vehicle Tour will be visiting the Glenrowan Discovery Hub, viewing Tim Bowtell’s artwork at the Winton Cemetery and for the final stop, enjoying the Costume and Kelly Museum at the Benalla Visitor Information Centre.
The Austin 7 Club, organisers of Historic Winton, will present “Director’s Choice” trophies for best presented vehicles first thing on assembly at Benalla Airport.
Alison said that morning and afternoon tea are included in the $25 per person entry fee.
